A Rising Taproom Tide Lifts All Breweries!

Generic as it is, the aphorism, "a rising tide lifts all boats" is a proven economic concept. And it applies to beer and your taproom. The more memorable experiences that breweries in your area create, the better it will be for your beer community as a whole.

When we first launched Secret Hopper in 2017, we were just touching the surface on the importance of experience in craft beer. Now it's a requirement.

A first-time guest that receives low engagement at a taproom is only 45% likely to return and recommend that brewery. That's less than half. The odds are that unless someone else drags them back, they won't be returning. While we don't have data on it, I imagine that guest will also be more hesitant to visit other breweries, especially if they're new to craft beer.

As our industry evolves, one of our goals is to introduce more people to craft beer and the unique experiences that we are creating. Your taproom is the epicenter of your brand's experience. If a first-time guest receives a high level of engagement, that guest is 99% likely to return and recommend that taproom. We need more experiences like this and together we can increase the size of the pie.

Establishing a town/city/trail/region of breweries dedicated to maximizing the taproom experience will elevate all.

If you are putting out a high-quality experience, then you are raising the bar. You neighbors should want to do the same. Taproom guests expect high-quality experiences and we, as an industry, need to always deliver.

The more breweries in your city creating WOW experiences, the more taproom success your area will see as a whole.
